What Home Buyers are looking for in their next home. They are looking to be knocked off their feet the minute they step out of their automobile. The lawn should be well trimmed without brown spots. Trees and shrubs need to be trimmed to show the front elevation of the home. Keep the stoop swept and have all toys, tools, old news papers, and trash cans out of view. Paint the front door and entrance if needed for a bright new look.

Once they are in the home. If there is a litter box, have it changed often. There is nothing that turns a buyer off more than pet odor. Besides the home of a smoker. If the odor is common to you, have a friend that doesn’t live in your home to tell you if there are odors that you can no longer detect.

Bright and airy sells. Turn on all lights and ceiling fans when you leave for a showing. Never stay home when there is an appointment to show your home. Buyers will whisk through if they feel like they are intruding when the homeowner is present. Open all curtains and blinds so the sun can shine in. Place soft back ground music on when leaving. Something classical or jazz. you know elevator music. Not rock or something that may be offensive.

The kitchen should be free of clutter and dirty dishes. Beds should be made, and bathrooms clear of drying towels and clutter.

Try and store personal pictures and collectibles. These items make it difficult for a potential buyer to imagine themselves in your home with your personal foot prints present.
Walk through your home before you leave, and picture it in a magazine, is it a picture that a buyer wants to see more of.

Follow these steps and with the right pricing, your home will sell quickly.
